Tammy joins Judith Miller, Todd Starnes and Pete Hegseth, with host Charles Payne.

Tammy notes that with regard to the strong reactions that people seem to have to any critique of their candidates, it’s been a long time since the Republicans have had such a competitive race, with so much talent. We’ve been “beaten up” for the past seven years, and people are looking for a hero, so there’s a strong investment in every one of these individuals….

  1. RobinVinc says:

Trump’s not saying Trey Gowdy is a “raging liberal”, like Todd said. He’s saying Gowdy failed at his job in order to diminish the validity of the support. It’s interesting about Trump; he goes after the endorsers. This could create fear in people who might endorse his opponents. Assuming he’s good at it, and carries it over to his fight against Hillary, I’m fine with it. It’s the sort of effective strategy that the Democrats have been employing for years. He’s aggressively meeting and discrediting his opponents, and anyone who backs them, in a lot of cases before these people have even said much of anything.

He could have just as easily brought it back to Rubio; ‘I guess Gowdy is hoping for one of those rare Rubio votes; don’t hold your breath Gowdy.’ Or similar. But he didn’t. Republicans can have the best policies in the world, but if they can’t aggressively control the debate and turn the public against their opponents, it won’t amount to much.
