obama handshake

Sure looks like Castro is pushing down the Celebrity-in-Chief’s arm.

But now, the WH claims it was Obama who resisted the handshake.

Um, ok, whatever…

Via Washington Examiner:

The White House said Monday that President Obama and Cuban President Raul Castro shared an awkward handshake last week because Castro was trying to create an “iconic” photo of the two leaders with their arms raised together, something Obama resisted.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama refused the gesture because the re-established relationship hasn’t thawed enough yet.

“I do think that President Castro had in mind a rather iconic photo with President Obama … arms raised together,” Earnest said. “I think President Obama believed that that would imply a whole lot more agreement on some priorities than actually exists.”….

Obama is such an embarrassment to the entire Nation.

Obama’s body doesn’t match trying to keep his arm down. Looks more like Obama was going to raise his hand above Castro’s head and either point down at his head or even pat his head, a la, my little friend here. If he could tuck him into bed, he would. Has to be the tallest minaret in the room.

It’s ironic that, in flailing to evade producing an iconic photo, Obama produced an iconic photo.

I have no doubt Obama wanted to avoid the classic revolutionary gesture. He knew he couldn’t go that far.
