Back to France; we currently have a Charge d’Affaires as Obama’s ambassador resigned Jan. 20. The rumored Trump appointee for France Ambassador is Jeffrey Loria. Who is owner of the Miami Marlins baseball team being sold to Romney, Bush, swamp et al. HuffPo wrote that Reince has pushed for Loria over Tillerson’s objection. So this whole thing looks like wading in the swamp not draining it. As Marlins owner, Loria would buy a championship and then jettison everyone to slash payroll. Won in the rich payroll years but hurt building a dedicated fan base with the immediate slash aftermath. My understanding, few in Miami weep over his selling the team.
Originally, Loria was going to sell Marlins to the Kushner family, but Kushners backed out in Feb. when it was reported that Loria was in-line to become ambassador to France.
