Blast at U.S. embassy called ‘terrorism’
ATHENS, Greece – Police cordoned off streets around the U.S. Embassy in Athens early Friday after an explosion inside the embassy compound that a senior police official said was an “act of terrorism.”
The blast smashed glass in the front of the building near the U.S. emblem of the embassy. Police did not report any injuries and embassy officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
“This is an act of terrorism. We don’t know where from,” Attica Police Chief Asimakis Golfis said. “There was a shell that exploded in the toilets of the building … It was fired from street level.”

Top congressional Democrats conceded Thursday that they probably can’t block the 21,500-member troop increase that President Bush has ordered for Iraq, but said support is growing for using their power over spending to constrain his future war moves…
Senate Majority Whip Richard Durbin, D-Ill., said it was too late to block the increase of troops. ”The surge, if that’s what you’d like to call it, is under way,” he said. Instead, cutting off funds should be looked at as a long-term strategy, Durbin said. Both the Senate and the House of Representatives are discussing how to cut off funding for future deployments.

At least as far as terrorist attacks go, I’ve personally done worse damage on 4th of July with cherry bombs when I was a kid.
Let me interpret little D. Durbins comments for you guys. No we will not cut off the funding because we don’t have any manhood to take responsibility for the war, we just want to snipe all day at Bush and call him a loser, we don’t really want to take responsibility for anything. Little D. Durbin is the small moron who compared our troop in Gitmo to Nazi soldiers. The guy is a real winner.
