On this 4th of July I thought I would offer a Picture Quiz asking, “Who best Represents Core American Values Especially When Innocent People Are Dying and Reliant on You?” I know it sounds complicated but if we Right-Wing Extremists just put down our Bitter and Clingy for one second, we might come up with an answer. Ready?
Option One:
Guy who eats ice cream while innocent people are murdered by a tyrannical government.
Or Option Two:
Construction Worker Guy who risks his own life plucking a woman from a raging river
Never, ever forget who you, and the American people really are. While one of these Guys is on the TV every day, the other lives in anonymity, working to pay his bills and get through another day. When out of the blue a stranger needs his assistance, even at great risk to himself, he is there. His name is Jason Oglesbee and yesterday he saved a woman’s life.
Let me just put it this way, the Iranians should be grateful Construction Worker Guy isn’t the president, and the 60-year-old woman in the lake, no doubt, is grateful Barack Obama wasn’t the closest one to her on the day when she needed help the most.
UPDATE: The victims in this story have been identified. A monstrous tragedy for a well-liked Pleasant Hill couple who were looking for a good spot to watch 7/4 fireworks with their grandchildren. Pray for Alan Neely who did not survive and for Patricia Ralph-Neely who is listed in ‘fair’ condition at the hospital.
It’s fair to say that Obama will go down as one of the worst “man-made disasters” in history.
Tammy, you need to be careful here. With Sotomayor close to becoming a Supreme, she may play the affirmative action card and complain it is not fair to compare a hero to a zero. No, the zero does not get extra points for killing those pirates, but he is deeply concerned.

I just saw this on the news. It’s amazing!! I think this is the spirit of America. Our country still produces people of honor. That construction worker put his life on the line for a stranger. It’s sad that the husband didn’t make it. At least the effort was made. Kudos to Jason!!!
That’s nothing. Wait’ll you see how many people his national heath care plan is going to kill, starting with the Nazi euthanasia program for old people.
That’s right, which is why we need to DO something to save this country, starting NOW. The victims of OCare are us, our parents, and grandparents he’s making “expendable” for evil, not even noble, purposes. This is NOT about covering “everybody”, this is about control and an agenda that unfortunately took hold of this country some years ago, and we didn’t do what was necessary to ensure that it would NEVER get this far. Thank you for stating it so honestly and succinctly. While Reagan was tearing down a wall in Europe, this virus was mutating in our education system, in our legal system, and in our three branches of government. WE ARE THE PEOPLE and the government ONLY exists because of us. By law, we have the power to restore our country to its rightful owner…US.
