Census shows voter problems in several Illinois counties

More than 10 percent of Illinois’ 102 counties have more registered voters than residents who are old enough to vote, according to a new report.

The 14 counties, as well as the board governing elections in East St. Louis, have been notified of the problem by state election regulators following the release of new U.S. Census Bureau population figures earlier this year.

Counties that need financial assistance may be able to receive federal grants, but even that process could become tricky in certain cash-strapped regions where counties would have to come up with the money first and then wait to be reimbursed.

Election officials say everybody knows everybody so nothing to worry about.

“Most people know each other and if something’s going on, they tell me pretty quick”…

Nice to live in a community where you can count on people to be there when you need them.

If they know who shouldn’t be on the election rolls then how much does it cost to delete the names?

I guess if you count all the dead voters, you can come up with any number obama wants. I’m not sure what needs to be done to verify voters’ eligibility, but something needs to be done. IL has been making a mockery of American Electoral system since the cow burned down the city of Chicago.
