All the millennial supporters of “Feel the Bern” Sanders probably think Bernie’s ideas are new and innovative.

Actually, his ideas are old, tired, and failed ones.

But I guess this is what we can expect from a generation fed on Leftist claptrap; as reported in Market Watch, Karl Marx is the most assigned economist in U.S. college classes

Here is a 1979 clip of economist Milton Friedman responding to Phil Donahue’s attempt to argue for “redistribution of wealth.”

Via Business Insider:

In 1979, a young Phil Donahue challenged legendary economist Milton Friedman on the principles of capitalism. And specifically he went after the concept of greed.

But Friedman eloquently articulated what capitalism was really about. And how it was behind so much good and wealth that was created in history….

“But it seems to reward not virtue as much as it does the ability to manipulate the system,” said Donahue.

“And what does reward virtue?” asked Friedman rhetorically. “Does a communist commisary reward virtue? You think a Hitler rewards virture?”….

This is why Obama says, You didn’t build that. To imply that socialism builds things, capitalism only takes the fruits. Establishment GOP saying Free Trade pacts doesn’t respond. Need Friedman today. Where is today’s Friedman?

Excellent video here. I love how ol’ Phil just didn’t have a response during most of this. Seemed like he really couldn’t refute anything Friedman said. When he tried to, it was just a big Fail! I was saddened by the fact the audience (way back then!) made no applause response to what Friedman said. But then, it WAS a Phil Donahue audience.
