Fran Townsend’s comment yesterday that OBL is “impotent” might surprise Denmark and Germany considering the arrests last week of directly-linked AQ terrorists. Oh yeah, and those 24 arrests last year in England over the transatlantic aircraft plot involving liquids and gels.
Perhaps the Bush admin is projecting just a tad.

It’s an odd juxtaposition: it has only been six years since the atrocities of 9/11, and yet is seems like so long ago. So much to learn…so much already forgotten.
What amazes me, is that despite all the mistakes that President Bush has made, we’ve managed to thwart every attempt by Al-Quaeda to attack the homeland since 9/11. Europe has not. We must be doing something right.
