Charles at LGF is indeed as surprised as I that a man suspected of planting nail bombs at a popular London restaurant isn’t a Buddhist. Go figure.
Muslim convert held after nail bomb blast in restaurant
Police have launched an armed operation in connection with an explosion in a city centre restaurant. Police and bomb disposal teams were called in after a young white man apparently attempted to detonate a nail bomb.
Diners heard three blasts which sounded like gunshots go off in a toilet at the Giraffe cafe in Exeter city centre as they were having lunch today. A Muslim convert was being held over the incident…Following the explosion this lunchtime, two further bombs were found in a family restaurant toilet.
Eyewitnesses said officers had to break down the cubicle door because the 22-year-old refused to come out. When he emerged, wearing jeans and a dark t-shirt, blood was running down his face and all over his clothes. He was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital, where he is under armed guard, for treatment to a severely lacerated eye and facial burns. None of the customers or 15 staff at the restaurant was hurt.
There were claims the suspect was a Muslim convert and detectives are now trying to determine whether he has links to Islamic extremism. [Ya think?]
Devon and Cornwall police refused to say what offence he was being held on suspicion of but sources close to the inquiry now fear the man was arming a bomb when part of it blew up in his face.
Gee, I guess Allah wasn’t willing.
I think it’s important to remember there are Christian terrorist groups also. This sounds like the work of the Salvation Army.

Exeter is in the rural county of Devon, not far from King Arthur’s Camelot in Cornwall.
In a way this is even more disturbing — a “muslim” convert here is like finding a mosk in Alaska.
Behead those who insult Islam?
Does that mean they want to take out the terrorists too?
Non-Muslims don’t even need to insult it.
Based on the picture above I’m just stating the obvious. I think those people in the photo carrying signs are volunteering to have their heads removed. They are surely an insult to every decent Muslim where ever they may be hiding.
Can anyone say guillotine? I know, it’s French but somehow still a useful tradition. …..and it’s not from the dark ages either ………it’s only from 200 years ago.
It’s funny how all these years after WWII, you never hear anyone stressing to make the distinction between “Nazis” and “peaceful Nazis”.
Of course, there was no CANR (Council on American-Nazi Relations) then.
