Feds warn of terror plotting against NYC subways
Federal authorities are warning police of a possible terror plot against the New York City subway and train systems during the holiday season, prompting local officials to beef up security at stations. An internal memo obtained by The Associated Press says the FBI has received a “plausible but unsubstantiated” report that al-Qaida terrorists in late September may have discussed attacking the subway system.
A person briefed on the matter, speaking to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the intelligence-gathering work, said the threat may also be directed at the passenger rail lines running through New York, such as Amtrak and the Long Island Rail Road, which are particularly busy with Thanksgiving holiday travelers.

Terror attacks in Mumbai; 80 dead, over 900 injured
In one of the most violent terror attacks on Indian soil, Mumbai came under an unprecedented night attack as terrorists used heavy machine guns, including AK-47s, and grenades to strike at the city’s most high-profile targets — the hyper-busy CST (formerly VT) rail terminus; the landmark Taj Hotel at the Gateway and the luxury Oberoi Trident at Nariman Point; the domestic airport at Santa Cruz; the Cama and GT hospitals near CST; the Metro Adlabs multiplex and Mazgaon Dockyard — killing at least 80 and sending more than 900 to hospital, according to latest reports.
The attacks have taken a tragic toll on the city’s top police brass: The high-profile chief of the anti-terror squad Hemant Karkare was killed; Mumbai’s additional commissioner of police (east) Ashok Kamte was gunned down outside the Metro; and celebrated encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar was also killed.
The attacks appeared to be aimed at getting international attention as the terrorists took upto 40 British nationals and other foreigners hostage. The chairman of Hindustan Unilever Harish Manwani and CEO of the company Nitin Paranjpe were among the guests trapped at the Oberoi. All the internal board members of the multinational giant were reported to be holed up in the Oberoi hotel.

This is horrible. I heard this on Sirius radio. Everyone should remember the attacks in 1998 in Kenya. These type of attacks on foreign soil always preludes to something happening here. I do not want to sound negative, but this is in the back of my mind. I am extremely concerned.
You know? If Islam is truly a religion of peace, why is it that in countries where it is rivaled or completely dominante that this sort of stuff happens? Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe there is something terribly wrong with Islam.
After all, shouldn’t it be acceptable for a fifty-four-year-old “prophet” of allah to marry a six-year-old Aisha and be sexually aroused enough to rape (consumate the marriage with) her at the age of nine?
Surely, all the stonings, beheadings, and removing of hands and feet are acts of a spiritually enlightend messenger. The mass-murder and persecution of Jews who wouldn’t submit to his will was most likely the ordaination of a supreme being and not a delusional mad-man.

Let us accept that BHO & Co. will give our enemies ample reason to believe that we will not deliver strong response to their actions, and thus are a soft target. If our government will not protect us, it is therefore incumbent upon us, as individuals, to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
Identify the dangers and situations that may affect you, and begin to formulate specific plans to deal with them. Have food, clothing, shelter, and a means of defense. If escape is the only option, have some supplies in the escape vehicle, ready to go. Be ready, be prepared.
