Now let’s hope he spills the beans on all the con men of Chicago in an effort to avoid getting kicked right into prison. With so many officials from the brand-new National Chicago administration of Barack Obama being supoenaed for the criminal investigation perhaps we’ll finally get some of that ‘transparency’ Barkey has promised for so long.

As far as Blago is concerned, at the very least he just may get a television show out of the whole thing. After all, so many do…

Illinois Senate Kicks Blagojevich Out of Office

Illinois senators stripped Gov. Rod Blagojevich of power Thursday in the final act of a political drama that handed the reins of state government to his estranged lieutenant governor, Pat Quinn, and likely will end Blagojevich’s career in politics.

Senators voted unanimously to convict Blagojevich and bar him from holding political office in the state again. Shortly after the vote, Quinn was sworn in as Illinois’ new governor.

The outcome was never in doubt. In fact, Quinn went to the state Capitol earlier in the day to prepare to be sworn in…Blagojevich told the state Senate the tapes captured something that “all of us in politics do in order to run campaigns and win elections.”

To paraphrase a great drawing making rounds via email, which is of an Illinois license plate with both Ryan and Blago depicted on it with the cut line, “Illinois – where are governors make our license plates!”

Tammy, he stood up to Obama,Daley, and Emanuel….he may be a crook, but he is a hell of a crook

  3. He’ll turn up hanged in his cell, with a suicide note found nearby. Barry and Dick will see to that.

This Pat Quinn sound like a decent guy. I wish him the best. Maybe he’ll be the one to clean up the place. Always the optimist 🙂

So we replaced one Chicago machine politician with another.

No doubt. But Blago does not have the right color of skin to get away with it like a certain ex-junior Senator from Illinois.

I was having a Chinese lunch with Mrs. Infidel and Blago was on the news………it was then I realised that I find this guy so over the top in arrogance that he amuses me so. McGreevy didn’t have that effect on me nor does Barky. However, if Biden and Blago need another line of work they could team up with Keith Olbercrap and be the next 3 stooges.

To all Illini, as your neighbor to your East, I hope for your sake Mr Quinn doesn’t actually mean what he says for it might give you “hope” that “change” is coming. Beware.
