His job as a security guard was through his employer, G4S. Here’s more on that company:
G4S Under Scrutiny After Employing Orlando Killer Since 2007

I have a feeling we’re only scratching the surface here when it comes not just to this scumbag but just how far Islamist terrorists are embedded in our culture, security and nation as a whole. Like a poweder keg, it’s likely the FBI & DHS have just been crossing their fingers that all hell doesn’t break loose.

Video footage emerged Wednesday of homegrown terrorist Omar Mateen — on duty as a security guard after the BP oil spill.

It wasn’t clear if Mateen knew video cameras were rolling when he volunteered his skeptical view of cleanup efforts to makers of the 2012 documentary “The Big Fix,” which examined the impact of the Deepwater Horizon spill on the Gulf of Mexico.

“No one gives a sh-t here. Like everybody’s just out to get paid,” he said. “They’re like hoping for more oil to come out and more people to complain so they’ll have jobs. Because once people laid off, it’s going to suck here.”

The documentary makers wanted to get a look at beachside cleanup efforts in the middle of the night when they encountered a ranting Mateen.

“They want more disaster to happen because that’s where the money making it,” he said. “(It’s) all about the money, exactly.”

Sky News in the United Kingdom was first to report Mateen’s small role in the documentary. A spokesman for Mateen’s employer at the time, G4S security, confirmed to CBS News that that was the future Orlando nightclub killer in “Big Fix” footage.

My experience with G4S guards has been good. Unfortunately, arsonists want to be firemen situation applies to security also. The whole no record of criminal activity is only part of researching someone and the rest of background checks aren’t done well anymore because of discrimination concerns. Just glad that we pushed back strong against Bush Port Authority Qatar nonsense. Still no explanation why that was developed.
