New Tammy Column at Fox News
by Tammy on October 16, 2010As you might imagine, I felt the need to say a few things about NOW, their remarkable hypocrisy and the mainstreaming of “whore” as an acceptable adjective for women. Here’s a snippet, the entire piece is in Opinion at Fox News. The ‘W’ Word Brings Fresh Hypocrisy to the California Governor’s Race You know the phrase “a disaster waiting to happen?” For over a decade now I’ve been waiting and watching, knowing that the National Organization for Women would inevitably have a very public nervous breakdown brought on by the pressures of using women’s issues to further the misogynist leftist agenda. The only questions were when it would happen and how public the collapse would be. I now have my...

Why It’s Nice That Ann-Margret Won An Emmy Last Night
by Tammy on August 22, 2010On Saturday night here in Los Angeles legendary actor Ann-Margret finally won an Emmy after 6 previous nominations (she’s also been nominated twice for an Oscar). While the main Emmy awards are next Sunday, the “Creative Arts” subset were handed out Saturday night to behind-the-scenes people and actors nominated for guest-starring roles. The now 69-year-old performer won her statuette for Guest Actress in a Drama Series on Law & Order: SVU. Why they would not have category like this air on the main show is beyond me, but that’s another issue. I mention Ann-Margret because in this day of Hollywood leading the charge against our military, making movies and television shows that regularly cast our troops as villains, it’s worth...

Emily’s List: Let’s Nail Palin in the Name of, uh, Women!
by Tammy on August 16, 2010We’re Emily’s List and if liberal women aren’t inspiring women anymore, then why should Sarah Palin be allowed to do it! Yeah, that’s the ticket! Let’s target and try to undermine as many independent Women! as possible to prove that you can stand up for Women! by making sure one particular Woman! you don’t like doesn’t keep inspiring and encouraging, uh, Women! Or something. Oh yeah, and let’s now take a lot of time and money from supporting women candidates we like by spending it on trying to stop other women candidates from being successful. Because, uh, it’s really not at all about Women! It’s about being shills for the Left, which has been so successful in making sure we...

A Tammy Special Report/GZ Mosque w Asra Nomani
by Tammy on August 14, 2010Asra Nomani is an American, a mother, a reporter, a teacher, a speaker, and a Muslim woman of faith. Asra was kind enough to agree to a special podcast interview today regarding her opposition to the Ground Zero mosque, the player for which is at the bottom of this post. The conversation is wide ranging including the condition of Islam today, the internal struggle of the religion, and her efforts as a Muslim woman to confront Islam’s extremist elements. I first learned of Asra’s work by reading her column on the Daily Beast opposing the Ground Zero Mosque. In A Muslim Questions the Mosque where she notes: We’re not being honest in our Muslim community about the violent ideology inside...

Palinistas! Obama Wants Your Story Of How Women Break Barriers
by Tammy on August 9, 2010I think we all have an answer to that, which introduces today’s Patriot Participation Project! Let’s answer Urkel’s question, shall we as I think a few Palinistas out there who may want to chime in. The Obama Gestapo has revealed their latest attempt to pander to women after their misogynistic presidential campaign by using Facebook and Twitter to make it seem like they, too, like women who “break barriers.” This sort of dance, of course, is typical hypocrisy from Obama, the man who tried to destroy both Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton during the presidential primary campaign. And created a campaign where his followers’ favorite shirt during read “Bros Before Hos,” and while some Democrats during the general campaign wore...

When it Comes to Palin, Romney Decides the Gutter Suits Him Best
by Tammy on July 15, 2010It wasn’t hard to notice that no Republican “leader” came to the fore condemning the racist and sexist attacks against Nikki Haley by fellow Republicans during her primary season. Nor have any of them said anything about the sex-based ad hominem attacks against Sarah Palin, which continue to this day. During the Conservatives4Palin meetup in San Diego this past weekend I warned that wonderful group that attacks on Palin would most certain all be based in the gutter, framed on mental state and sexuality. I also predicted, btw, that they would eventually go after Todd Palin in the same manner. I repeated that warning Monday on Tammy Radio, noting there as well that there would be no more free shots...

Tabitha Hale Blogging from SRLC
by Tammy on April 10, 2010You’ll all remember Tabitha Hale as a guest on Tammy Radio this week. Just after the show she went to New Orleans to attend the Southern Republican Leadership Council and has been blogging with updates over at Red State. In her blog about Day One at SRLC Tabitha updates on all events, but I especially appreciate her comments about Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, and his rant about Teh Gays. Tabitha is a reflection of an Authentic Conservative and Christian who reflects far more of Jesus’ plea for tolerance and understanding than someone like Tony Perkins ever will. I must say, I find it interesting that certain people on the religious right seem obsessed with homosexuality....

by Tammy on April 7, 2010I’m honored to announce that I will be speaking at this year’s Smart Girl Summit, the now annual event sponsored by the terrific independent conservatives and authentic feminists at Smart Girl Politics–A Conservative Women’s Movement. Last year’s event was their first and a smashing success. This year they have expanded the conference to two days in Washington, DC from September 30-October 1, 2010. That’s a Thursday and Friday making it a perfect excuse to have a long weekend in our beautiful capital city 🙂 We’ll be very close to the elections by then, and I can’t imagine a greater opportunity to meet as many of you as possible, so do please join us! For the speakers list, agenda, hotel information...

‘Family Ties’ Mom Meredith Baxter Comes Out
by Tammy on December 2, 2009If you live in Los Angeles and participate in any sort of events involving the gay community, you knew Meredith Baxter was gay as she was seen on occasion with her partner. Some magazine was going to our the mother of five (her oldest is 42) to the rest of the world even though she and her partner have led very out lives in our town. She was out to her family, but as a private person she handled her private life privately. So, Baxter has shared her story with Matt Lauer and the Today Show. It’s a good interview and I think worth sharing. Related link: ‘Family Ties’ Mom Meredith Baxter Joins Group of Later-in-Life Lesbians

Ted Kennedy Is Dead
by Tammy on August 26, 2009Mary Jo Kopechne unavailable for comment. Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy Dies at 77 After Cancer Battle Oh, and btw, my gun Snuffy has killed fewer people than Ted Kennedy’s car. RIP Teddy? I suppose that might be difficult now that he finally has to face that terribly inconvenient woman last seen alive in his passenger seat. Maynard’s note: For an overview of Chappaquiddick, see my previous post here.

New Column: McCain’s Camp Praises Sanford and Trashes Palin?
by Tammy on July 1, 2009My new column has posted over at FoxNews.com, “McCain’s Camp Praises Sanford and Trashes Palin?” which addresses the rather bizarre defense of Mark Sanford by Meghan McCain while other John McCain operatives/supporters attempt a renewed jihad against Sarah Palin. I hope you’re able to take a look 🙂

Sarah Palin, Running
by Tammy on July 1, 2009Now that’s a phrase we’d like to hear 🙂 Yes, she can beat Urkel running. Running in the mountains and running for president. You betcha. She makes some promising comments in an article for Runner’s World, which includes a great slideshow. One of my favorite elements, which I think just about sums up one of the main problems in last year’s race: “I used to joke around with John McCain during the campaign about coming jogging with me. And once I asked him what his favorite exercise was, and he said, ‘I go wading.’ Wading. He lives on a creek in Arizona, so he goes wading. That cracked me up.” The New York Daily News quotes Palin in the article...

On The O’Reilly Factor Tonight
by Tammy on June 30, 2009I’ll be on with guest host Monica Crowley discussing SC First Lady Jenny Sanford and her dignified reaction to husband Mark Sanford’s outrageous behavior. Hope you can tune in 🙂 UPDATE 820p: Surprise, surprise. AP Newsbreak: SC gov ‘crossed lines’ with women This is hardly surprising. When you’re comfortable enough to leave the country, your wife and 4 sons to cheat, and the then lie constantly about it, you’ve done it before. Jenny needs to leave this freak as soon as she can, for herself and to show her sons that there are repercussions to deplorable actions like this.

My Article for Norway’s Verdens Gang (VG) Newspaper
by Tammy on May 28, 2009While I was in Norway for the Freedom Forum last week I was asked to do a piece on women's rights for Verden's Gang (VG), the country’s largest daily newspaper. Aung San Suu Kyi’s “trial†beginning in Burma combined with...
