“Somewhere Men are Laughing”* (The Mighty Obama Has Struck Out)
by Pat_S on November 12, 2010A post by Pat This is pathetic. No treaty with South Korea. Scoldings about QE2. Little support for his China policy. The final G20 document is meaningless fluff. This trip should end any doubt that Obama is no longer the international darling. Once there were cheering throngs. Now, failure and embarrassment. This exchange symbolizes the depth of the fall. Obama and the Chinese Reporter. Surprise!, it’s China and China will speak whether the American President likes it or not. In Asia, Obama sees progress in measured steps, no home run A defensive President Obama claimed progress Friday in a round of global economic talks that exposed discord over U.S. policy and doubts about American influence. Not every summit can be...

God Bless Israel. May She Live Forever.
by Tammy on June 26, 2010**Bumped Up: With the tyrants in Iran blinking today, “Iran cancels plan to send ship to Gaza,” I thought it appropriate to bump up this video post from back in February. ** ********** As Jew-hating tyrants meet freely in the Middle East and speak of the ‘annihilation of Israel,’ here’s a video which reminds us why Israel exists, and who she is today. It’s time for our generation to pledge Never Forget, but also Never Again. VIDEO:

Video: Tea Party Campaign of Japan
by Tammy on May 31, 2010Woo hoo! Brought to us by Nativevoice in Comments, here’s a Citizen Reporter bringing us the Japanese version of a Tea Party rally and demonstration. Stay with it–while the rally and such is in Japanese, the Citizen Reporter is a young woman who keeps us filled in, and there are lots of American flags 🙂 I love the part where we’re told demonstrators are only allowed to shout at the Prime Minister once, but when they do it’s good! Look for my favorite sign once they get to their Federal Building: “Crazy Prime Minister–FXXK Off!” LOL! Unfortunately, the video does start automatically, so to stop it just click the pause on the player. Tea Party Campaign of Japan [I removed...

“Diplomats were invented to waste time”
by Pat_S on May 26, 2010A post by Pat There are many times I am convinced the world is not real, that I’ll wake up and see a nurse hovering over me with my next dose of meds. The surest trigger for this feeling is any news report concerning international diplomacy. We’re supposed to believe it’s all very nuanced–an intricate dance of double, triple and even more complex multiplicities of meaning. Normally I’m all for that kind of stuff in poetry, religion or fantasy. When it comes to war or peace, prosperity or ruin, the charade is too much for this gray-haired lady with dishpan hands. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. The best I can hope for is that David Lloyd George...

British MEP Minces No Words About EU President
by Tammy on February 27, 2010I’m not sure, but I don’t think Nigel Farage, a member of the UK’s European Parliament, likes the EU President, a former Prime Minister of Belgium. Interestingly, in their coverage of the incident, the Times of London conveniently left out the quotes regarding Farage’s accusation that Van Rompuy was determined to turn the EU even more socialist than it is. That was the crux of his tirade, and a good and appropriate one. Yes, it was a rather scathing attack, but let’s not forget the British tradition of PM “Question Time,” where MPs regularly go after each other with contained abandon. So to speak 😉 Here is the background as to why Mr. Farage would be so passionate about his...

British Tea Party Movement Launches on Saturday
by Tammy on February 25, 2010As Sleeps-with-a-Kennedy-every-night Schwarzeneggar noted, the Tea Party Movement is “not going anywhere”. Oh, except international 🙂 This is nice to know on this side of the pond as our cousins on the other side have been dealing with socialist despotism for far too long. The only reason the British government hasn’t collapsed at this point is because of Margaret Thatcher‘s economic reforms. The good people in England now ready to fight no doubt know they owe this extra time to Lady Thatcher. British Tea Party Movement to launch on Saturday The inaugural British Tea Party will take place on Saturday in my home town of Brighton, and I’ll be speaking. Do try to come: here are the details. Labour has...

8 of 10 Missionaries Go Free in Haiti
by Tammy on February 17, 2010While gangs roam Haitian refugee camps raping women, it struck me as especially macabre that Haiti, with all of its astounding problems after the earthquake, thought a bunch of US missionaries trying to help some kids was the ‘problem’ they needed to focus on. Perhaps we should also consider the fact the release happened the day French President Sarkozy arrived in Haiti. Urkel hasn’t visited Haiti. But I understand; visiting countries where you can’t have a concert and not everything is about you can be a bit mundane. Haiti frees eight US missionaries after parents refute ‘kidnap’ charges Eight American missionaries were freed from a Haitian jail last night, nearly three weeks after being charged with kidnapping for trying to...

Obama Backlash and Overkill–From Time?
by Tammy on October 9, 2009Yes, it’s one of those events which deserves the Flying Pig Award. From Time Magazine, essentially mocking the growing absurdity of the Urkel Regime. Talk About Your All-Time Backfires, The Nobel Prize for Effort The news blindsided even his biggest champions: Barack Obama had joined Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev and the Dalai Lama as a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Former Polish President Lech Walesa, himself a Noble laureate, echoed many when he responded: “So soon? Too early. He has no contribution so far.” Even the Nobel Prize committee acknowledged the award honored Obama’s “efforts” to advance global harmony, rather than concrete achievements to date… Said Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele: “It is unfortunate that the President’s star...

In Hong Kong, Palin Describes Her “Common Sense Conservativism”
by Tammy on September 23, 2009UPDATE: Palin has posted an excerpt of her remarks over at her Facebook page. UPDATE 2: Conservatives4Palin have an excellent roundup of media reaction to the governor’s speech. All in all, sounds like the speech most of us hoped she would give. She slams Obama and praises Reagan and Thatcher. An excellent debut. The NYT quotes an attendee as having the impression Palin was positioning herself as more of a “libertarian or a small-c conservative.” And what was Obama doing while Sarah Palin was talking about the importance of our personal and economic freedom? He was being praised by despotic genocidal beasts Castro and Ghaddafi. Palin Addresses Asian Investors Former Governor Touches on Budget Deficit, Health Care and China HONG...

Biden Indicates Changed U.S. Position on Israel Striking Iran?
by Maynard on July 5, 2009Today’s report: The US will not stand in Israel’s way if Israel believes military action is needed to eliminate Iran’s nuclear threat, Vice President Joe Biden said on Sunday, during an interview with ABC’s ‘This Week.’ Speaking to interviewer George Stephanopolous during a three-day visit to Iraq, the US vice president said that Israel can determine for itself “what’s in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else.” When questioned if Israel could make that decision “whether [the US] agrees or not,” Biden answered in the affirmative, noting, “Any sovereign nation is entitled to do that.” “If the Netanyahu government decides to take a course of action different than the one being pursued now,...

Massacre at Iran’s Parliament Building
