President Obama did a walk-in during the White House press briefing this afternoon. Earlier today the Cambridge police asked for an apology from the President for his now infamous castigation of the officers arresting Prof. Gates as acting stupidly.

The President’s subsequent statement is in no way an apology. He regrets his words left an unfortunate mistaken impression. He says he should have calibrated his words differently. Then he scolds everyone else for over reacting. Was it not over reacting for the President to make a one-sided conclusion without having the facts?

He starts by admitting he contributed to ratcheting up the incident and ends by claiming the attention to the issue speaks to historical African-American sensitivity. He continues looking at this with bias. He sees only half of it. There was a response to the President’s insults because America is getting fed up with the race card.

Obama calls this a teachable moment; we should spend more time listening to each other. I thought that was supposed to be his forte. He disagrees with those who say he shouldn’t have stepped into it because he is the President. He thinks it is within his portfolio to step in because race is still a troubling aspect of our society. It is not within a President’s portfolio to pour gasoline on a fire. Obama will not step out of his community organizer, radical agitator role.

He couldn’t help but notice this issue took precious time away from discussing health care. No doubt that is the real incentive for his remarks today. I don’t think the issue will fade as quickly as Obama would like. He ends it humorously by sharing exasperation with Sgt. Crowley about the press trampling the lawn and invites Crowley and Gates over for a beer. Nice try for the common touch. The magic is starting to sputter. The halo is starting to fall.

That’s actually the first good idea Obama’s had. Yeah, have Gates and Crowley over for a beer. Let’s all bury the hatchet and put this unpleasantness behind us. Hey, it’s working for Iran and North Korea.

After everyone loosens up a bit, Sgt. Crowley can arrest Gates and Obama for being drunk and disorderly. When the FBI can’t verify Obama’s citizenship, he’ll be deported to Kenya.

Right on, Maynard. I can’t wait for CNN’s prime time special, “My Dinner With Andre, or whatever that stupid racist cop’s name is”. I highly doubt that food or drink will be served; there won’t be any place to put the teleprompter. Then again, TOTUS might be at Club Gitmo getting waterboarded for failing to prevent the Messiah-In-Chief from mouthing off again.

I could barely stomach the whole almost-6 minutes of The One’s statement, but I finished it. He sounds like an arrogant and racist ass every time he opens his mouth. Through this whole thing, The One is the one who sounds like (and is!) a racist NOT THE POLICE. It should be clear to every American especially after something like this. Yes, the halo is starting to fall. It’s about time!

I dunno, Obama has no trouble apologizing to all our enemies for America, but can’t seem to find a way to say “I’m sorry” to a white guy? Racist SOB.

T’was a political spackle job by our president – still can see the hole in the wall – needs a coat of paint too.

Obama said the Cambridge Police Department acted stupidly. Whereas, Obama did it FOR REAL.

Wow! [d]Ear Leader, aka Mr. KnowItAll, sure is good at jumping on the cops at the first wiff of “wrong doing.” But, ask him to act in the same manner in regards to one [or all] of the world’s tyrants, butchers, or wannabe dictators. No, not he. Not only will he be waiting to meet with them with a hearty handshake, he’ll even hug them. Why he’ll even accept their anti-American gifts with gusto!

Remember the book that pineapple head, Chavez, gave to Obama? A book written by an Uruguayan “journalist” who blames Amerika and Europe for Latin America’s lack of development. A whinny tome that has that old anti-American ring of defensiveness used to hide personal failure and inadequacy. [Yes, I do know the title and the author’s name. But that tripe won’t get any inadvertent promotion from me! If you’re interested, do a search.]

So, no. Obama’s handling of that reporterette’s question is not surprising at all.

I’ve heard several people, who are not racist, say that one of their many concerns about Obama was that he was going to favor black people over others. I didn’t think he would, as much as I knew he would be a socialist.

But this kind of proved that maybe their concerns were not misplaced.

And did anyone hear him talking to the NAACP (I think that was the group) a few days ago – he was putting on the “black talk” and it reminded of the way the Clintons (yes, both of them) would do the same thing when they would talk to the same groups.

It just adds to all the other stupid things this man has been doing since January.

As President, he is supposed to be President for ALL of us, whether we voted for him or not, or like him or not. This latest incident proves that he is not and he does not consider himself to be.

He actually said that he “could” have calibrated his words more, not that he “should” have. Sounds like a weasel to me. He seemed to forget that he previously admitted that he hadn’t all the facts and tends to ignore that during the non-apology.
I see his pattern of partially addressing a problem, because that is all he wants to talk about. For example, the biggest problem with the Omamajeans is not that they were loose, but that they had pressed creases. He really thinks people want to see his ass or his bulge. Now he thinks we really want to see his racism.

  10. Mary Val says:

Gates is the racist here, an arrogant foul-mouthed racist bully. The first thing he does is grab the phone and try to go over the police officer’s head and make trouble for someone who DARED to question his emminence. What a jerk. Move over Rev. Wright and make room for another Obama crony in the lineup. And Harvard, don’t you look stupid having this man on staff.

  11. 74Conservative says:

This fool is a joke. I ran into an old work-mate yesterday who used to be a police officer. He said he has now turned against the Once. I said NOW? It took THIS? I mean…..this is bad; but the guy is taking a wrecking ball to the country. He said he voted for the Once but this did it for him. Well – who cares….at least SOMEthing turned him. At this point – I’ll take any ef-up the Once does in order to scrape the blinders off the zombies, one at a time.

  12. Skippy says:

This is just another example of how the arrogant elites think they are above the law. No one is above the law, no one. Perhaps they should check Gates’s tax records. He probably doesn’t pay taxes either.

  13. sabrina says:

But weren’t they sooo smart when they planted this question as the last of the night. Yes racist America was going to be put back in line if they had any doubt about his eminence. I keep saying it “The King is not wearing any clothes!” I’s beginning to show. It’s such a shame for America that this fraud has to go down in history as our first black president. Liberalism imploding as usual.

  14. eMVeeH says:

P.S. BTW, it looks like the Prez had some dealings with the Cambridge police while a law student at Harvard from 1988 to 1991. In fact he ran up a bill with them. Bills that he didn’t bother to take care of ’till just before he started his run for the presidency.

I just caught the last of Al Sharpton on Fox News again blaming the police for being racist thugs.
You know, whenever I see Al the first thing that comes to mind is Tawana Brawley and why he wasn’t prosecuted as an accomplice.

    sigh…

I was watching Ann Coulter take Geraldo to school on FOX this evening.
I wonder what is up with this guy. Is he on the right station?
I have always given him a pass on being a ham and self absorbed with himself but I have to draw the line at his backwards attitude on race issues.
OK, he is hispanic and hispanics can do no wrong.
Come on over the border and take over american streets with crime and drugs and murder and kidnapping.
I mean we are at fault for buying your drugs and then arming you, I know because Geraldo tells us so.
Now with the Gates and The police issue I cant really see how his views can hold water and in fact they dont but he is almost as narcissistic as Obama in that he just cant believe that Ann is so much more honest, realistic and just plain smarter than him.
She steals the spotlight every time he has her on his show.
He wants to claim racial profiling in the “Gates gate” topic when in my opinion it had nothing to do with race other than Obama leading it in that direction.

Another example of Obamas brilliance with the use of rules for radicals.
His healthcare bill is getting so much attention and dragging on long enough for the private sector to read it and disect it and post it online for everyone to see so he needed to pull another small battle out of the radical bag as a distraction.
Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
The target = The “blue collar class” policeman.
Freeze it = planted question in a news presser.
Personalize it = a friend and “elite class” leader of the people.
Polarize it = play the race card.
Boy is he good, but now that we know that it’s not about race but against class, things like disastrous nation crippling bills that will lead our country into fascism will become much tougher to disguise.

But get this. In the very next segment of the show Geraldo critques the Cop and the paramedic choking incident where the officer was actually being a bad cop and Geraldo Says that he thinks that this might be a case of real racial profiling.

    Wait, “Real Racial Profiling”?

See he really does know the difference but just not want to admit that he is getting schooled by a woman that is head and shoulders above him as far as reporting in a fair and balanced and a non “empathizing” way
