Yes, President Obama, “…the most intelligent president in the history of the US, and… his IQ is off the charts” (according to presidential historian Michael Beschloss, in ’08), introduced the audience to a young man from the “Dominican Republican.”

via Breitbart: Obama calls Dominican Republic ‘The Dominican Republican’

I’m wondering what Obama would call a Democrat from the Dominican Republican.

The comments at Breitbart were very amusing.

Here are two of my favorites:

Johnsmith500: Republicans live in his head, rent free.
gaspar: And there is plenty of available space in that head.

Speaking of favorites, here is my all-time fav Obama gaffe (so far, anyway)

Because, remember: he is “…the most intelligent president in the history of the US, and… his IQ is off the charts.”

I wonder what Michael would say if she saw that clip. Of course, she hasn’t because she’s still in Hawaii. And, apparently, Israel and the United States are to be used interchangeably because he hates them both with the same enthusiasm.

I am well known for my malapropisms. But…. I am not a public speaker. I can even laugh so hard I get tears in my eyes when my family & friends point out my malapropisms. Something tells me, the President does not find humor when people point out his malapropisms. Shifra, keep up the entertaining posts! Many Thanks!

Hahahaha! It’s been a tough 5 years for the MSM propping this guy up. Let’s face it, he just ain’t that bright. Plus, he’s lazy. That’s what he told Barbara Wawa. The MSM must be behind the scenes cracking up. It’s gotta be show time in the TV control room when he doesn’t have POTUS. But hey, next to Biden, he does look like a genius. He was smart enough to pick Uncle Joe to be his VP…or was that Valerie’s idea?

Small linguistic pattern here. Dominican-Republican, Israel-Israels.

Saying Republican repeats Dominican and therefore is vocally rhythmic. Likely with his constant speech making, he developed this apparent speech pattern of repeating sounds internal to a sentence. It’s rhythmic, easy on the throat, and will show up when not reading TOTUS. A little unique, most people rhyme in adjacent sentences. Internal sentence rhymes work in music and poetry, but in speeches only for emphasis. Routine use will change attention grabbing to sing song annoying. It’s also possible that his way of speaking was developed in Indonesia and therefore is more of an English as a second language rhythm.

My non-linguistic take; Republican and Israel are on his mind. His wife Michelle is not. He thinks about his enemies. Another reason to use TOTUS. He knows that his tell of concentrating on enemies will come out.

Interesting, Alain41! Shifra, could Dominican Republican be one one the 57 states? I kind of lost track …

His IQ is off the charts is TRUE. With a baseline of ‘0’ (that’s zero) at the bottom start point, this guy’s number is so far below zero that it simply cannot be found.
