Barack Obama

What’s up with POTUS and buses?

We know he loves to throw people under them, but now, it seems just cannot stop talking about buses.

Does he have a bus fetish?

Or maybe he is thinking about his next career move? (If he wants to live in NYC, I hear the Metropolitan Transit Authority pays pretty well.)

Via CNS News: Brittany M. Hughes — Obama Repeats: You Can’t Get Ebola on a Bus—Day After Bus Quarantined in D.C.

On Saturday–one day after a bus that had departed from the Pentagon was quarantined on Capitol Hill in an Ebola false alarm–President Barack Obama issued a video message to Americans telling them that “you cannot get it [Ebola] from just riding on a plane or a bus.”

“Ebola is actually a difficult disease to catch. It’s not transmitted through the air like the flu,” Obama said in his weekly video message. “You cannot get it from just riding on a plane or a bus.”

But on Friday, a bus was quarantined on Virginia Avenue, SE, in the Capitol Hill area of Washington, D.C.–in what turned out to be an Ebola false alarm….

A Daily Mail Online video report said that health officials had instructed passengers on the bus to monitor their temperatures for 21 days….

I tried to google Obama’s weekly video message, but the WhiteHouse.gov site says “Sorry, the page you’re looking for cannot be found.”

Hmmm.

But here is CDC’s Dr. Frieden to help “clarify” things.

And by “clarify,” I mean:

“bomb-fog us with word-spew so that we can’t remember what the question was.”

This is the official transcript of the Q&A at the latest White House press conference.

Could you get it in a house?
Could you get it from a mouse?
You could not get it in a house.
You could not get it from a mouse.

Could you get it in a box?
Could you get it from a fox?
    Not in a box.
    Not from a fox.
    Not in a house.
    Not from a mouse.
You could not get Ebola there.
You could not get it anywhere.

    A train! A train!
    A train! A train!
    Could you, can you,
    on a train?

Not on a train! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! Just let me be!

    Would you, could you,
    on a boat?

You could not, would not, on a boat.

Etc etc etc blah blah blah. Nothing to see here, folks, move along, let’s get back to vital issues like integrating transgender Nigerian androgynes onto submarines.

These people are masters of delusion and deception, and/or just full of crap. Good one, Maynard. You should copyright that for the history books.

    On the road again…

I don’t watch The Daily Show but it’s going on the road to Texas next week as runup to the election and I have to credit them for a good title: Democalypse 2014; South by South Mess. http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/daily-show-heads-to-austin-for-election-day-democalypse-2014-south-by-south-mess_b243025#more-243025
