Manspreading: The practice of sitting in public transport with legs wide apart, thereby covering more than one seat. According to Wikipedia, the term first appeared in public debate when a feminist anti-manspreading campaign was started on the social media website Tumblr in 2013.

The Huffington Post crack (or, on crack?) journalists then followed up with:
UPDATE: New evidence suggests Obama was NOT manspreading http://t.co/qhzmFwgarj pic.twitter.com/kNiuTkfOSr

But, as usual, Twitter had the last say on this “riveting’ topic:
@HuffPostPol Slow day Huffy? Fox news is calling you.

@HuffPostPol You have to be a man before you can be a manspreader.

I think HuffPo is mock trolling, eg, spreading the photo of Obama because of its power symbolism under the pretense of Obama exhibiting a weakness. I’ve mentioned before that photos of the back of the head exhibit power. In this case, Merkel as Maria Von Trapp/Mother Nature beseeching the Benevolent Almighty. The hills are alive, with the photo of ‘his eminence’ holding court. And HuffPo gets to do it twice, once asking the question and then a second time to say no don’t think so. I sense forthcoming HuffPo exclusive, with photos.
I think his legs are stretched out and crossed at the ankles. Either way, he’s still an arse!
Who remembers Bill Clinton’s infamous “Esquire” cover?
Man, did he ever pull one on the whole world.
